The conference conceive to give students help and advice, to promote the new scientific generation in civil engineering and to develop stronger and more organized relationships between universities, national and international research funding agencies (CNCS) and the new researcher generations in civil engineering and architecture, respectively. During the CE-PhD 2012 students and community members will have an opportunity to attend several keynote presentations concerning the new indicators and directions in research, development and innovation (RDI) system in the field of engineering science in general and particularly in the field of civil engineering and architecture. In this respect several personalities from CNCS (National Research Council) and CNATDCU (Consiliul National de Atestare a Titlurilor, Diplomelor si Certificatelor Universitare) will be invited.

Thus SEnS PhD Civil Engineering International Conference 2012 is:

  • An environment in which to strengthen, promote and discuss research internationally.
  • A clear vision of social needs related to engineering and research on trends in civil engineering and architecture.
  • A springboard to Acta Tehnica Napocensis – Civil Engineering&Architecture journal B +, indexed BDI.
  • A set of powerful tools to facilitate communication between you and your collegues and access to information, all proposed by SEnS.
  • Round tables on various topics that will actually represent an environment for a higher level of detail the issues of common interest

  • For adaption the research themes to the changes in the real life of engineering
  • Promoting and sustaining excellent and creativity in scientific research. The first endeavors have been taken for creating a Romanian center for research composed of Romanians and foreigners.
  • For a clear vision over the practices and mechanism in the field and a real reference to international reference.
  • Enhancing Romania’s attractiveness for foreign top researchers.
  • Increasing exigency of work in the field, moreover, gradually increasing the thesis’ level by applying some basic principles: excellence, probability, and focus on the actual research and on the researcher.
  • Internationalization of the Romanian science

Expected results:

  • Enhancing the quality of the research projects and facilitating access to personal and technological knowledge necessary in this endeavor
